"SoundHack"
SoundHack is a sound file processing program, its function is that of esoteric sound processing & many other utilities that makes it invaluable tool to computer musicians
You'll be listening & experiencing what SoundHack can accomplish - keep in mind that I will be giving you the basics of sound changes
Note: these sfs were created in a .AIFF format, but for the purpose of this site they are BladeEnc into .MP3 formats.
In the next section you will see all the aspects of SoundHack
(i tried to include every SH item), with concerns to the above soundfiles.Header Change - with this process you can change the sample rate, channels and data of a sf
Loops & Markers - you can change the marker locations of sfs
Binaual Filter - with this you can change a monofile into a stero file
Convolution - with this you can process 2 sfs together as 1
Gain Change -you can change the gain factor & amp of a sf
Mutation - ( this process is my personal favorite ) - with this process
one can produce different timbal cross-fades of a sf - as heard
in afraidhauntingvoice sf - above Phase Vocoder - you can change the pitch without changing the length
of a sf or vice versa Spectral Dynamics - this process changes - gating, ducking, expansion & compression on each band of a sf Varispeed - self explained - it can change the speed of a sf - *Note* - you may not be able to view this image because of access prohibitations Spectral Extraction - this process separates the stable & unstable parts of a sf Analysis/Resynthesis - this will create a Csound/Soundhack analysis
of a sf or a sf from each of the formats into resynthesis QuickTime Coder - this function will convert your sf into a QT movie
