Gregg Thompson

 

Mr.Thompson was exposed to music and sound effects from birth. His father was a DJ at the University of Hartford Radio Station Hartford, CT wear he became aware of different aspects of the Music Industry. Mr.Thompson also did a commercial spot for his father's Sunday morning program.

At the age of 7, his grandparents bought him his first guitar, where he began to read and play simple songs. As time past he began to progress to more complex structures - including Classical & Ragtime.

In High School he began learning the piano & was in the school's Concert Choir.

After graduating from High School, he joined the US Navy as a Yeoman - while still perfecting his musical skills.

In September 1990 - after being honorably discharged from the service - he was accepted & enrolled at the Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA. He studied Music Synthesis with concentration on Sound Design - utlitzing the program Csound - under the instruction of Dr. Richard Boulanger - who studied Csound from Barry Vecoe from MIT the founder & developer of the Csound application.

Upon graduating from Berklee he began to privately tutor others on the importance on Csound, along with tutoring theory & guitar.

He has become proficient in this field & is highly recommended for Sound Design with Csound.
